Standards and Practices

Editorial Policy

How Puzzle Solved decides what to publish, how it verifies accuracy, and how it handles corrections and complaints.

What This Site Publishes

Puzzle Solved publishes verified answers for mobile puzzle games. The scope is limited to games for which the team has access to a reliable, machine-readable data source. A game is not added to the archive unless a scraper can produce a structured data file with at least partial answer coverage. Games are listed with their real populated counts, not with inflated or rounded totals.

This site does not publish editorial opinion about game quality, developer practices, or puzzle difficulty. It does not rank games against each other. The only editorial judgment applied is whether an answer is correct (verified against the game) or not (gap in the data file).

Accuracy Standard

Every answer in the archive is sourced from a structured data file produced by an automated scraper that reads the game directly. The editorial team does not accept user-submitted answers for inclusion in the data files. User comments may appear on game pages but are not treated as verified answers and are not counted in any metric.

When the archive shows a count (for example, 285,926 clues for CodyCross), that count reflects the number of non-empty answer fields in the data file at the time of the most recent nightly rebuild. The count is computed by the build script, not estimated or rounded by a human. The full verification pipeline is described in the methodology page.

Corrections Policy

Corrections are taken seriously. If an answer in the archive is wrong, the process is:

  1. Report through the contact form with game name, level, and the error.
  2. The responsible editor reviews the report within 48 hours against the source game data.
  3. If the error is confirmed, the data file is patched and the satellite site is updated.
  4. The hub reflects the correction on the next nightly rebuild at 05:10 UTC.

Corrections are not announced publicly. The data file is the source of truth - when it is fixed, all pages that draw from it are automatically correct.

Independence and Affiliation

Puzzle Solved is not affiliated with any of the mobile game developers or publishers whose games appear in the archive. Game names and trademarks belong to their respective owners. This archive is an independent reference resource for players.

Puzzle Solved and the linked satellite sites (wordscapesanswers.info, codycross-answers.net, and the others listed in the game directory) are operated by the same team. The editorial team does not receive payment, sponsorship, or other consideration from game developers for coverage decisions. A game is included because its data is accessible and useful to players, not because of any commercial arrangement.

Editorial Team

The editorial team is described on the team page. Three editors are responsible for the word games, crossword and clue, and logic and grid categories. The Editor in Chief holds overall responsibility for the archive's accuracy standards and the nightly rebuild pipeline.
