7 Little Words is made by Blue Ox Family Games for iOS, Android and print. Each puzzle gives you a list of clues and a grid of small letter tiles — usually two or three letters apiece — and you combine those tiles to spell each answer, using every tile exactly once. Answers in this archive average 7.5 letters, and the longest is PHILADELPHIA at 12 letters.
Answer counts per date range from 7 to 16, because the game runs a daily puzzle alongside a bonus puzzle, and themed dates repeat a single clue across several different answers. Rather than guessing which answer belongs to which puzzle, every answer published for a date is listed on that date’s page — so nothing is missing and nothing is mislabelled.
Coverage runs across 9 full years, and each year has its own page grouping puzzles by month — 2026, 2025, 2024, 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, 2018 — so any single date is two clicks from here. Answer lengths in the archive average 7.5 letters, and daily pages list every clue beside its answer and letter count, which is what actually helps when you are matching tile fragments rather than just confirming one word you already suspected.
All 9 Years
Each year page groups its puzzles by month, so any date is two clicks away.
How does 7 Little Words work?
Three moves take you from a grid of fragments to a finished puzzle.
Read the letter counts
Every clue tells you how many letters its answer has. That number, matched against the tile fragments available, rules out most combinations before you try a single one.
Start with rare fragments
Unusual tile groups like QUI or PHY fit very few words. Placing those first collapses the puzzle far faster than working through the clues in order.
Use every tile once
Each tile is consumed exactly once, so a fragment left over at the end means an earlier answer is wrong. Count the leftovers to find which one.
Tips for tricky puzzles
Work the letter count backwards. Answers here average 7.5 letters. If a clue wants 12, only a handful of tile combinations can even reach that length.
Spot themed days early. On themed dates the same clue repeats with a different answer each time. If a clue looks duplicated, it is not a bug — each instance wants its own word.
Do the bonus puzzle separately. Many dates carry a bonus puzzle as well as the daily. Solving them as one pool is what trips most players up.
Leave the vague clues last. Short, general clues fit many words; specific ones (a name, a place) usually have exactly one answer, and each one you place removes tiles from play.
Stuck? Look the date up. Every one of the 2,898 dates in the archive has its full answer list, so you can check a single clue without spoiling the rest.
How we verify every answer
This archive was rebuilt from source in August 2026 and every date re-verified. Each record carries the clue, the answer and the letter count together, and answers are validated for shape before publishing. The previous build merged an unrelated date’s answers into each page and left 85 answers blank — both faults are gone, and coverage went from 909 dates to 2,898.
