International Cat Day — Complete Pack Guide

International Cat Day is one of Connect Word's limited seasonal packs — 25 levels numbered from one inside the event, holding 3,393 words in 806 categories. It averages 32 categories per level and reuses 119 category names across the pack.

The pack name does not describe what is inside it — the categories are general knowledge, the same mix the Daily Challenge uses. The opening board runs King Arthur, Baby Stuff, Vitamins, Country Elements and 26 more, which gives you the flavour. What does change is the shape: event boards are multi-stage like a daily, and their categories hold 4 or 5 words rather than the flat five every numbered level uses. Watch the 477 multi-word entries too — phrases like Beauty And The Beast are where a category looks one short.

Because the numbering restarts inside each pack, International Cat Day level 1 has nothing to do with level 1 of the main 4,600-level game. Open any level below for its full category list, browse the other 6 packs, or work the daily archive of 607 dated boards.

FAQ

International Cat Day — Questions

What are the Connect Word International Cat Day answers?
The International Cat Day event runs 25 levels holding 3,393 words across 806 categories. Every level is listed below with its own answer page.
How many levels are in Connect Word International Cat Day?
25 levels, numbered 1 to 25 inside the pack. Each averages 32 categories and 136 words.
Is International Cat Day still playable in Connect Word?
Seasonal packs are removed once the event ends and the game keeps no archive, so if the season has closed this page is the only place the International Cat Day boards still exist. The event usually returns the following year with the same themes.
Do the International Cat Day levels match the numbered levels?
No. Event levels are numbered from 1 inside their own pack, so International Cat Day level 1 is a different board from level 1 of the main 4,600-level game.
Pro tips

3 Tips for the International Cat Day Pack

01

The pack name is not the subject matter

It is worth saying plainly, because it costs people time: International Cat Day names the run, not what its categories are about. The 806 categories in here are ordinary general knowledge — the opening board alone covers King Arthur, Baby Stuff, Vitamins. Read the category names on the board and ignore the pack title entirely.

02

Categories hold 4 or 5 words, not a flat five

Every category in the numbered game holds exactly five words, and that habit is what breaks here: event categories carry 4 or 5. Read the empty slots the board draws instead of counting to five, or you will abandon a category one answer early.

03

Each level is several stages deep

An event level is not one board but 3 stages that unlock in order, exactly like a Daily Challenge and unlike a numbered level. That is why a single level here can run 32 categories where an ordinary level runs 11.8. Every level page keeps the game's own stage order, so you can follow it without spoiling a stage you have not reached.

How we check

Verified Answers, Not Guesses

How we verify the International Cat Day event

All 3,393 answers in this pack were captured from the event while it was live and are stored category by category in the game's own order, never retyped. A level publishes only when its whole board parses, so the 25 levels listed are 25 complete boards rather than a padded run.

How to play

How to Solve a Connect Word Board

Three habits that clear any Connect Word board, whichever mode you are in.

STEP 01

Read every category name first

The category names are the only clue the game gives you, and reading all of them before you touch a tile rules out most of the dictionary. A narrow theme pins its answers far harder than a broad one, which makes it the cheapest place to start.

STEP 02

Count the slots, do not count to five

Every category in the numbered levels holds exactly five words, so five means finished. The daily and event boards do not follow that rule — their categories hold four or five. Read the empty slots the board draws or you will abandon a theme one answer early.

STEP 03

Expect phrases, not just words

Roughly one Connect Word answer in six is two words rather than one. When a category sits one short, the gap is usually a phrase you have been reading as a single word.
