No clues at all. Every letter of the alphabet is replaced by a number, and you crack the whole grid by working out which number is which letter.
Tips for Puzzle Page Codeword

Start with the given letters, then hunt for a three-letter word ending in the same number as a longer word — usually THE or AND.

The most frequent number is almost always E, T, A or O.

A number appearing doubled inside a word is usually L, S, E or O.

Once you have a vowel, mark every occurrence across the whole grid before moving on — that is where the momentum comes from.

Cross letters off the alphabet list as you place them; the endgame is mostly elimination.

The single most common number in the grid is nearly always E, and the most common three-letter pattern is THE. Testing those two first cracks most boards.

Once you have a letter, sweep the whole grid for that number before deducing anything else — a codeword's value is that one letter appears everywhere at once.

Every answer is built from what the level actually shows you and nothing else. Counting that first rules out most of what comes to mind, which is quicker than trying words and being rejected.
Place the longest answer first
Long answers use up the awkward letters and leave a set that spells the short ones out for you. Starting long is consistently faster than sweeping for three-letter words.
Neighbouring levels are the best hint
Difficulty climbs gradually rather than in jumps, so the levels either side of a hard one reuse its patterns. They are more useful than any hint the game sells you.
