Word Chain Levels 101–150
348 words across 50 chains, averaging 7 words each against 6.8 game-wide. Every chain links to a page with definitions for each word.
Levels 101 to 150
Full chains, in order. Open any level for the links explained and a definition for every word, or go back to the Word Chain hub.
What Makes a Word Chain Level Hard
Length is not difficulty
Chains here run from 3 to 8 words. A long chain of obvious compounds is easier than a short one leaning on a secondary meaning — the definitions on each level page are there for exactly that.
Work inwards from both ends
The first and last words have one neighbour each, so they are the least ambiguous. Every level page in this block lists the pairs explicitly.
Compounds only work one way
BLACK + JACK reads forwards; JACK + BLACK does not. When a candidate word stalls, reverse the pair before discarding it — the hub lists the words the game reuses most, and they are the ones that flip.
How to Solve a Word Chain Level
Ends first, then work inwards.
Read it as a sequence
Each answer must join the one before it, so order is part of the puzzle rather than a presentation choice.
Anchor at both ends
Outer words have a single neighbour and are the safest starting point — see any level page.
Check the second meaning
Chains lean on secondary senses. Every word on every level page here carries a definition for that reason.
Verified Answers, Not Guesses
How we verify every chain in levels 101-150, with definitions on each level page
Chains are taken from the published answers and cross-checked against a second source, which agreed on all 520 levels it covers. The game ends at level 569; the source returns HTTP 200 for higher numbers and serves one repeated puzzle, so those are not published. The routine is in our methodology and the standards in our editorial policy.
