Word Search Journey shows a subject rather than a level number. Look up any word you have already traced and the index names the level, so you can open its full answer list.

29,583 answers cover 6,362 distinct words, so a familiar word probably does appear on several boards. Every one is listed.

Long words pin a board fastest
Rare, long answers appear on very few levels, so one of those is usually enough to identify exactly where you are.

How to Find a Board From One Word
Three steps from a single word to the right board.
STEP 01
Pick the first letter
Every answer in the game is indexed above. Word Search Journey shows a subject rather than a level number, so a word you have already traced is often the only thing you can search on.
STEP 02
Read across to the level
Each word lists every board that hides it, with the level number, so you can open the full word list for the grid in front of you.
STEP 03
Prefer a long or unusual word
Rare answers appear on very few boards and identify a level almost on their own; common short words appear on many.
