About the daily archive

Every Crossword Master Daily Puzzle

This archive holds 61 Crossword Master daily puzzles with 1,214 clues between them, spread across 2 months. Unlike most daily games, Crossword Master dates its dailies by month and day rather than by year, so each page covers that calendar day whenever it comes round again.

Every daily ships in two regional variants — a US clue set and a GB clue set — with genuinely different clues in each. Both are listed on every page here, so whichever version your app serves, the answers are on the same page. Answers are short, averaging 3.5 letters across the game.

If you are working through the numbered levels instead, the puzzle index covers all 2,001 boards in 21 blocks of a hundred. Both parts of the game share the same clue vocabulary — 15,718 distinct clues, of which 2,496 have more than one valid answer depending on the board.

Each daily page below lists both regional sets in full, with every clue paired to its answer and letter count, so you never have to guess which variant you are looking at. The months are listed in calendar order and each day links straight through, which makes finding a specific date quicker than scrolling one long index.

FAQ

Daily Archive Questions

How many Crossword Master daily puzzles are archived?
There are 61 daily puzzles on record, holding 1,214 clues in total across 2 months.
Why are the dailies dated by month and day only?
Crossword Master publishes its daily puzzles on a month-and-day cycle rather than a year-stamped calendar, so each page covers that calendar day whenever it comes round.
What are the US and GB clue sets?
The game ships regional variants of each daily puzzle, so the US and GB sets have different clues. Every daily page here lists both.
Pro tips

3 Tips for the Crossword Master Daily

01

Regions ship different clues

Crossword Master serves separate daily clue sets by region, so two players on the same date can see different grids. Every dated page in this archive lists each regional set separately — check which one matches your app before you start filling squares.

02

Nothing is removed once archived

This archive holds 61 dated boards across 2 months. Old dailies are the cheapest practice available: the clue style repeats even though the answers do not, so working backwards through a month trains you for the boards still to come.

03

Numbered puzzles are the other half

The daily is only part of the game. The numbered puzzle archive holds 2,001 fixed boards that never change, which makes them the better place to practise a clue type you keep losing to.

How we check

Verified Answers, Not Guesses

How we verify the daily archive

Each daily board is captured on the day it runs, with its regional clue sets stored separately and its answers length-checked against the grid. A nightly job adds the new date and re-checks that no day in the run is missing, so the archive is continuous rather than best-effort.

How to play

How to Solve a Crossword Master Puzzle

The order that clears a crossword fastest, whatever the theme.

STEP 01

Start with the fills you are certain of

Short answers with common letter patterns anchor the grid. Every letter one of them places is a free constraint on the crossing clues, which is why the grid opens up far faster from the easy corners than from the clue you are stuck on.

STEP 02

Use the crossings, not the clue

When a clue will not give, stop reading it and look at what crosses it. Two or three confirmed letters usually reduce the answer to one candidate, and that is quicker than re-reading a clue you have already failed to solve.

STEP 03

Let the theme carry the long answers

The long entries usually share a theme, so once one of them falls the others follow the same pattern. Solve a long answer and re-read the other long clues immediately — they are rarely independent.
