December 21 — Daily Puzzle Answers

This page carries every answer for the Crossword Master daily puzzle of December 21. There are 21 clues in total, split across 2 regional sets — US and GB — because Crossword Master ships different daily clues depending on your region. Pro tips

3 Tips for the December 21 Daily

01

Check which region you are playing

Crossword Master ships different daily clue sets by region, and this date has 2 of them — US and GB. Both are listed on this page, so if an answer does not fit your grid, you are almost certainly reading the other region's set.

02

Longest answer first

The 21 answers on this board run from 1 to 7 letters, 73 letters in total. Placing the longest one first locks in the most crossings, which is the fastest route through a daily grid you only get one shot at.

03

Yesterday is free practice

The daily rotates but the clue style does not. December 20 is the board before this one and December 22 comes after. The full daily archive holds 61 dated boards, and the numbered puzzle archive adds 2,001 more.

How we verify this daily board

The 21 answers here were captured from the December 21 daily on the day it ran, with each regional clue set kept separate rather than merged. Daily boards are not edited after publication, so a dated page stays correct: what you see is what the game served that day.

How to play

How to Solve a Crossword Master Puzzle

The order that clears a crossword fastest, whatever the theme.

STEP 01

Start with the fills you are certain of

Short answers with common letter patterns anchor the grid. Every letter one of them places is a free constraint on the crossing clues, which is why the grid opens up far faster from the easy corners than from the clue you are stuck on.

STEP 02

Use the crossings, not the clue

When a clue will not give, stop reading it and look at what crosses it. Two or three confirmed letters usually reduce the answer to one candidate, and that is quicker than re-reading a clue you have already failed to solve.

STEP 03

Let the theme carry the long answers

The long entries usually share a theme, so once one of them falls the others follow the same pattern. Solve a long answer and re-read the other long clues immediately — they are rarely independent.
